Episode 6 – Transparency
In the last episode of the Radio Show, we will talk about the subject of Transparency in the European Union. The special guest for the sixth episode is Koen Roovers – Enquiry officer for the European Ombudsman, who will give us his insights in his role in strenghtening transparency in the EU and its relation to lobbying and citizen participation. We will also hear from the third team producing a YouTube episode going in-depth on the issue of Transparency who will share with us their interesting guests for the episode and their experiences with the creation of the YouTube video.

Episode 5 – Lobbying
The fifth episode of the Radio Show will look into the topic of lobbying in EU politics. We will hear insights from our special guest – MEP Maria Walsh on what lobbying means to her and her work in the European Parliament. During this episode, we will also speak to the second team producing a YouTube episode on the issue of lobbying. The team will give us an insight into how their personal opinions have changed after researching the issue of lobbying and interviewing their guests.

Episode 4 – Participation
In this episode we will focus on the issue of participation in EU decision making. We will hear from Alessandra Cardaci (Project Manager in Debating Europe) and hear about how they build bridges between citizens and European policymakers through debates. We will also talk to the one of the three teams currently producing YouTube episodes going into depth on EU issues (participation, transparency, lobbying). The first team is covering the issue of participation and we can hear their insights on preparing the episode, their interesting guests and challenges.

Episode 3 – The war in Ukraine
The radio show team invites you to the third episode of the Radio Show focusing on the war in Ukraine. In this episode, we will hear from a Security Advisor working in the European Parliament who will shed light on security and humanitarian implications for the EU in the context of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
We will also talk about the media coverage of the war and the issue of misinformation, especially on social media. You can also find out how you can help people affected by the war in Ukraine and abroad.

Episode 2 – The field trip to Brussels
The radio team has visited the capital of Europe, also nicknamed as ‘Brussels bubble’ by many people involved in European politics. We had a peek into European Policy Centre – a Brussels based think tank where we talked about the Brussels’ bubble and the role of think tanks in EU policy-making. We will also give you an insight into the work of other teams and their projects.
This episode’s special guest is Johannes Greubel (Policy Analyst at European Policy Centre).
